Dr. Humber is the founder and director of the Center for Plastic Surgery in Southern California. Serving patients in the greater San Diego area for over 20 years, He offers aesthetic procedures of the breast, and the body. He also has been named one of the top plastic surgeons in San Diego by the publication A Guide to Top Doctors and has selected a staff of medical professionals who share his dedication to customer satisfaction. It is his dedication to personalized, individual care that has established Dr, Philip Humber as one of the premier plastic surgeons in San Diego County.

He received medical training from some of the finest educational institutions in America and in California. After graduating with honors from DePauw University in 1972, Dr. Humber made the decision to attend medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he earned his M.D. in 1976. After obtaining his medical degree, Dr, Humber completed a surgical internship and residency at the University of California, San Diego. While a surgical resident, Dr. Humber became interested in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Upon his 1983 completion of a plastic surgery residency and hand fellowship at the Eastern Virginia School of Medicine, Dr. Humber returned to San Diego where he opened a private practice focused primarily on hand and microvascular operations. He was one of the first physicians in San Diego to successfully reattach amputated fingers. Dr. Humber's primary interest gradually gravitated to aesthetic procedures. Dr. Humber is now a full-time plastic surgeon in San Diego with his entire practice devoted to aesthetic operations.

Dr. Humber is the member of many prestigious professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. As a plastic surgeon, he has been the recipient of multiple awards from the Philippine government for his work with Operation Smile, an organization that provides medical services and procedures to children born with congenital abnormalities in underdeveloped countries.

Dr. Humber lives in North County San Diego with his wife of over 30 years. He has two grown children.
